Named after the 17th century owner of the farm, Blake’s Barn is situated within the grounds of Mattingley Farm and is constructed from island stone with vaulted ceilings and exposed beams. Built during the Victorian era, the barn was sympathetically converted in 1993 specifically for holiday accomodation and provides an ideal base from which to enjoy the natural beauty of the Isle of Wight.

Two sets of French doors open from the living area into its own secluded, secure walled garden with the added bonus of allowing an abundance of natural light into the building.

Comfortably furnished to a high standard, Blake's Barn's size makes it perfect for larger gatherings, especially when used in conjunction with the accomodation offered by the dairy cottages. Indeed, Blake's Barn has hosted many special occasions such as anniversaries, birthdays and family reunions.

Inside Blakes' Barn is an open plan living area with ample seating for six adults. The thick stone walls provide insulation with storage heaters and the wood burner for heat during those winter months. A widescreen television, DVD player and a selection of the latest films available are also provided for your entertainment. The kitchen is fully equipped with a cooker and utensils, washing machine/drier, microwave and fridge. Refurbished in 2007, the ground floor bathroom now contains an electric shower over the bath, a basin and toilet.
