* Note that Christmas Day is a Friday so in 2009 this week will go from Wednesday 23rd until 30th December and similarly for the New Year.
Terms and Conditions.
- The contract is made between the Visitor and the Owner of the property which is being hired and is deemed to be made subject to these conditions of hire.
- The acceptance of a deposit from a Visitor creates a contract between the Visitor and the Owner of the property. Once the signed Booking Form and Deposit are received the holiday booking is then firm and the full rental will be required even if you have to cancel your holiday. (see clause 9 in these terms and conditions).
- The Visitor should complete and sign the Booking Form and return it together with a deposit of 50% of the total rental monies due. £35 will be added to the total rental money to cover for any breakages/damage and this will be refunded within 14 days after the holiday. Telephone bookings will be held for 5 days and will be confirmed once the completed Booking Form and Deposit money is received. The balance of the monies due is required 4 weeks prior to the start of the holiday.
- Electricity is by a £1 coin meter in Blake’s Barn and included in the Cottage price.
- Under no circumstances are more than six (Blake’s Barn) or five (Cottages) persons to occupy the property being hired at any one time. We reserve the right to terminate the Contract and the Visitor will be liable for the full Hire Charge and the whole deposit will be forfeited. .
- Keys will be handed to you on arrival and must be returned prior to your departure at the end of your holiday. Visitors may take up occupation after 4.00pm on day of arrival and must vacate promptly by 10.00am on day of departure.
- Visitors are asked to look after the property during their holiday period, not to abuse it or any of its contents, and to leave the property as they find it in a clean and tidy state. Any breakages or damage are the responsibility of the Visitors and must be reported before you vacate. The property will be inspected prior to leaving.
- Whilst every endeavour is made to maintain the electrical and household appliances in good order it is inevitable that failure may occur from time to time. Please report any such failures as they occur and every effort will be made to restore them to good working order as soon a possible.
- Once a deposit has been paid and accepted, Visitors are liable for all the charges of the holiday, as a contract has then been made between them and the Owners of the property. In the event of a Visitor wishing to cancel the holiday property, we must be notified in writing at the earliest possible moment. A refund is not possible unless due to exceptional circumstances. Visitors are advised to make their own arrangements for Holiday Cancellation Insurance.
- Visitors are encouraged to wander around the farm grounds and feed the birds or goats but care must be taken as we do not accept liability for any injury howsoever caused. Children must be supervised at all times. All animals will bite if provoked.
- Dogs are only accepted by prior arrangement. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times except when in the Barn or within the walled gardens of the barn. The dog is not allowed on the beds or upon the furniture and MUST NOT BE LEFT UNATTENDED in the Barn or within its garden. All messes are to be cleaned up immediately.
- The single beds in Blake’s Barn’s galleried bedroom and Cottage number 2’s twin room are small singles i.e. 2’ 6”.
- Smoking is not permitted in any building at Mattingley Farm.
- The Playbarn is used at visitors’ own risk and children must be supervised by an adult at all times. The snooker table is not to be used by children under the age of 14.
